Change My Life
No stranger to music and performance, Kolette has been working under the name Colette Kavanagh since the age of seven. With massive live shows behind her including performances alongside Bob Wooton, guitar player for Johnny Cash, her previous sound of contemporary hits earned her accolades most only dream of. Now though, with a little more experience under her wings, the C becomes a K and the music becomes catchy dance epics. All the way from Kildare and with links all over the world, Change My Life becomes the soundtrack to her new direction.
The track opens with a smooth and high energybeat. Elements of Saturday Night by Whigfield give way to striding vocals that provide a clear and pretty melody. Kolette sings expertly, the bouncy rhythm gives an optimism to the heartfelt words that describe a kind of sadness that compliments the major key. She hands over the keys to that special someone and asks if they can make things right this time. With relatable lyrics and a description of a woman's agony in love, plus the uplifting and catchy music that frames the piece, Change My Life is one of those tracks we can listen to a lot.
