Ouri Shape Of It TBR: 2nd December Ourielle Auvé moved to Montreal from France at the age of sixteen. It didn't take Ouri long to find herself in the right crowd as she began working on DJ sets among the city's lively rave scene. Her dreams of writing her own music never faded and with new abilities in electronic production, Ouri found new ways to write. Soon, her talents were spotted and Ouri was given entry to the Red Bull Music Academy's Montreal Bass Camp. From here she's already released two EPs and been featured on a highly sought-after compilation album. This new release defines another chapter as it begins, and showcases Ouri's harp and cello work alongside her beautiful voice. With a synaesthetic flow of tone, Ouri begins her song with a clear and intimate voice. Cello builds behind in strokes of passionate reverb that chatter with human tension. The voice builds with layers of harmony and poetic verse as harp notes begin to dance in rainy courtyards. Cello adds a rhythmic yet emotive allure as the harp sprinkles a playful notary. The cello then escapes into a wide open orchestration of harmony and scale in which we admire the sheer level of sonic delivery on offer.
