Parabola West
World Of Ours TBR: 29th Jan Originally from the East coast of America, Parabola West joined London based trip-hop group Dreamfield at the age of 21. When the band unfortunately split, Parabola decided to make a fresh start. Relocating to New Zealand, this talented and spirited artist has since been working hard. Music never went away, and now we get to listen with eager ears to what Parabola West has recently produced. A solemn and melodic piano phrase opens the song. Folky sensations glisten as Parabola West enters like a rising sun. Keyboards hum and harmonise as the piano grows in motion to bring out new dimensions. Then, as the vocal continues, a drum-beat enters that grasps the fluid and silky sounds into complimenting stitches. Layering builds the emotional journey into further progression as the smooth and beautifully melodious composition gently flows around us like affectionate arms. The three times Top 10 US and UK charting performer returns with a brilliant version of the classic 70s hit. Reworked for the modern listener and boosted with the fantastic voice of Indiraa, this catchy and memorable tune gets another workout in 2021. With springy tones, a plucked melody unveils. Indiraa begins to sing, her vocal wavers in a retro effect as echo and reverb warm the entire song. Familiar notes spill out in the well-known melody. Rhythm enters, the voice builds with harmony, and the progression reaches into a slow dance. More instruments add their timbre, a layering of strings and chord add liquor to the punch as smooth lead guitar wails in meaningful and emotionally challenging passages. John Carr Never Got The Chance To Say Goodbye Creative And Dreams Music Welcome to 2021 Alternative Fruit fans, today we're bringing you the wholesome and impressive music of John Carr. A career musician, with many hours of stage time behind him, John Carr has worked with names like Elton John, Leo Sayer, Mike and the Mechanics, and Elkie Brooks (follow the links for signed stuff). John Carr is usually found in his band Brand A, however after much headway made, John Carr is making solo sounds too. His latest song, Never Got The Chance To Say Goodbye, is a message to his friend who sadly died of Covid-19 after they went skiing together. The video opens with a dedication to all the victims of Covid-19. A smooth and sorrowful guitar plucks a bluesy melody across ethereal keyboards. The story begins, a feeling of grief washes across the boundless atmosphere. Not being able to see those who need us the most takes its toll on both sides. It's a sad song that no-doubt hits home for millions around the world who have lost a dear one through this disastrous disease. Coming to terms with sadness is never easy, and blaming the self for not doing what hindsight reminds us can be a hurdle even Daley Thompson stumbles over. This simple and heartfelt song spins a beautiful story of feeling, compassion, and regret. Find out more about John Carr on Creative and Dreams |
