Taken from their forthcoming second album, British pop-rockers bring Trouble Maker to our ears. Already a relative smash on Spotify, this new song pushes The New Realm further out to sea on their marvellous musical boat.


A sunny intro wobbles off the silence with an interesting effect before a melody guitar and bass combo brings in a simple beat. Lyrics roll up almost immediately with an alluring tune and easy to hear words. Each instrument is mixed to a point where we can hear them independently if we choose.


As the chorus kicks the drums add flare with lots of cymbal and energy, it keeps the fire burning as the verses find themselves also repeating familiar lines. It tells a story about someone who gets around, does a lot of things, and perhaps doesn't have much in the way of moral inhibition. I think we all know a few people a bit like this.


It's an upbeat and interesting single, the musicianship is clear with no generic formula to keep things in line, the composition is flawless. I can imagine many people finding this band through this song just like I did, and it's definitely worth checking out their website to find out more.
