Followers of the Alternative Rock scene may already be familiar with The Kut. Their extensive routine of touring and performing have made a big splash in several circles over the past few months and years. World famous Download festival played host to The Kut not so long ago, as well as the more eclectic and arty Camden Rocks Festival in London's heart. Even the major press has raised its head and mentioned this great artist, following radio plays and timeless gigs that get everyone talking. Their new album Valley of Thorns was released on the 13th of April. It charted at number 7 in the UK rock charts. If they need another sign then no doubt there'll be many more to come.


New single Hollywood Rock n Roll brings home their grunge inspired prevalence. A massive guitar crushes the quiet with punky rhythms and hollering vocals. Princess Maha lets her lungs out with great lines of disquiet and unrest. Chorus and title become chanted and accelerated into hard rocking power riffs. As the solo breaks from the pack, a sweet melody combines with blasts of scale in a cadence of forward. It's a thrashy high energy rock song that touches on elements of Green Day and Motorhead with a wonderful non complexity that makes everything easy to swallow.
