Since her breakthrough debut in 2012, Romy Conzen has become well established in the Belgian rock scene. Already dubbed the best thing to come out of Belgium for a long time, now she's ready to bring out the stage show once again with this splendid new album. V For Victory has been nominated for several awards already, including Best Rock Female Singer, which must feel great to be in the running for. To help us get to know what Romy is all about, we're treated to a sample of the album in the form of Aiaio, a three minute romper through everything we need to know.


It starts with a wave of oceanic cymbal which crumbles down to let a truly funky bassline shine out of the cracks in the pavement. Chilli Peppers style grooves with a thudding rhythm found among the likes of Green Day, (follow the links for eBay swag) mixed with sassy vocals from an energetic young head-turner can only mean good things. During the middle-eight, a synthesiser begins to churn out a juicy fill which smooths everything out into a dancing frenzy which lasts until another burst of chorus frames the delicious tempo.
