Londoner Ella Jinks was ten years old when the songwriting path opened out before her. She walked it gladly, and in 2016 Ella was accepted in the Brit School's music faculty. With her education in her hands she then went and applied it around the world with various musicians and music producers. Now after working her talent into a solid block, she is preparing to ride the airwaves indefinitely. Sharing the same studio location as Pixie Lott and Sam Smith, Charthouse Music has been a perfect choice for the production of Late Bloomer.
It's a slow number, with piano and cabaret style singing. Ella Jinks opens her mouth and out comes pleasure and silk. Her melodies hang in the air like floating birds looking for somewhere to land. Each note of the moody keys serves as a position for emotive tangents and poignancy. As layered choral lines provide backing for the words, extra intensity shifts from one end to the other. The prettiness shines out of the music and sadness clothes it in small packets of truth. Ella Jinks has a show-stopping voice and knows how to make a piece of fabulous music.
