After spending the week in the United States, Sound Read returns home to discover fresh Forest Green, London based rocker, Ali Jacko. Deciding to be a singer one glorious morning, Ali has leapt from strength to strength. Worldwide radio play to one side, the esteemed sounds of this solo artist grab all the right places. This English-Bangladeshi national, son of Late Mohammed Chamak Ali, not only is the first English-Bangladeshi British rock band vocalist to make it big, Ali is a superior kick-boxing champion. Don't mess with this one, now that he's swapped his gloves for a microphone, that same fuelled energy still reverberates in his act. It begins with a blues lick that repeats in a catchy loop. Gruff but friendly sing-a-long vocals spin tuneful rock n roll melodies over the building song. Drums and bass give a framework for the guitar to strut its stuff. A small sound for a rock band, the music centres around the singer who characterises the music with the vocal timbre and colour. Ali can sing, a powerful and confident voice gives a punch and a kick, well dressed with competent musicianship.
