Released on June 11th, this second single from the forthcoming album File New was co-written by Farrah Elle. Tanoki is known for his visual arts and music production skills, when working with Farah, the duo have put their heads together and composed something out there. Farah Elle lends her piano and voice to the mix, while Tanoki programmed and scored all the lines in between.


With funky samples and strings, the music opens. Snippets of The Twilight Zone call out before Farah Elle begins to sing. The cinema-scape vocals resonate through shuffling beats and heady bass. A distorted blues adapts to the funk timing and synthesiser tones swerve and swing on the graceful tempo. Musical interludes cast magical spaces in between the experimental and emotion-led delivery of words. A progressive and fascinating composition, Let Go builds and flows until it spills over into a wave of moving sound.
