Managing our own time is not much different to managing someone else's. If we can be a good manager for ourselves, make reasonable demands and issue reasonable rewards, things will flow more smoothly. We need to be consistent, and we have to nurture trust. This requires us to be predictable in quality and in availability. We have to be able to put down the games and pick up the pen. Not only this, we also have to make sure that time is taken to do things properly and well. Make sure that you have the self-control needed to switch off the entertainment and make space for work.
